Apple users, say hello to new smartwatches, so if you’re not getting enough from your Apple Watch, Google has officially announced the release of an iOS-compatible version of Android Wear, which come with a new Android Wear App for your iPhone 5 or above. So here is the deal, Google want to bring their highly efficient Wearable OS to iPhone users, giving them more options and smartwatches to choose from, and the LG Watch Urban is the first one that got the update.
The App store app will let you pair your iOS device with the Android smartwatch, then manage notifications and other settings, in addition of that, Google has added extra options and features from their super useful services, letting Android Wear for iOS supports notifications, fitness tracking via Google Fit, Google Now, Google Now cards and voice searches.
And because you’re dealing with an Apple system, there is always some limitations from the company, that’s why according to the Verge, Android Wear on iOS will not support third party apps, but anyway Google will allow choosing from a great collection of third party watch faces, well, if you’re bored with the already existing Apple Watch ones.
According to Google, from now on, all upcoming Android Wear smartwatches will support iOS, and right now, few of them are supporting the Apple OS, which are the LG G Watch R, the Moto 360, Huawei smartwatch and more. What do you think of this update? let us know in the comment section below!
