Lately, the Apple Watch users with wrist tattoos complained about the device functionalities being not accurate, and now, Apple confirm this issue.
The complains were basically about the heart rate monitor, users with wrist tattoos have remarked that the feature does not work correctly, and after some silence, the company came out and confirm the issue on its website by stating: “Permanent or temporary changes to your skin, such as some tattoos, can also impact heart rate sensor performance. The ink, pattern and saturation of some tattoos can block light from the sensor, making it difficult to get reliable readings”
A solution is proposed, but it is not really practical, Apple watch users with wrist tattoos can get a separate Bluetooth heart rate monitor and connect it to the Watch to get accurate data, (i would not do it if i had a tattoo).
Another issue is reported, some users are getting problems by having to re-enter their passcodes to access the Watch, because the Apple Watch does not sense contact with their skins. This is something that Apple should work on, or, blame it on the tattoos!
