Fossil Q Motion Fitness Tracker: the new wearable baby from Fossil

After launching three different wearable devices, the Q Founder Android Wear smartwatch and two fitness bands, the Q Reveler and Dreamer, Fossil is back with a new device, it is called the Fossil Q Motion fitness tracker and as you can see from the picture, it looks a lot like the newly unveiled Misfit Ray!

The device can track your basic activities such as walked steps, distances, burned calories and slept hours, so there is no advanced tracking features like the heart rate monitor and GPS. The Q Motion is equipped with a discreet LED light that lays under the Fossil logo, the light is there to bring you notifications and alerts, the device comes also with a button that can help you control external devices like taking photos, starting a playlist and more, the fitness tracker is equipped with a coin cell battery that can last for 6 months before needing to replace it.

If you didn’t know about it, Fossil has lately purchased Misfit company to integrate its fashion with the latter’s technology, so this might be the reason why both devices look the same, but according to Fossil CEO: “This was in development way before the Misfit deal, which happened very fast – there were rumors of that acquisition only about a month beforehand.

The device will work with the Fossil app and other fitness apps, and it will be available soon for a price of $95.
